Reception And History Taking
The dentist or dental hygienist will greet you and take your medical and dental history. They will ask you questions about your brushing and flossing habits, your history of gum disease, and your allergies.
Physical Examination
The dentist or dental hygienist will then perform a clinical examination of your teeth, gums and mouth. They will look for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, and other problems.
Diagnosis And Treatment Plan
The dentist or dental hygienist will explain the results of your exam to you and give you a diagnosis. They will then provide you with a treatment plan to resolve your oral problems.
Treatment
If treatment is necessary, the dentist or dental hygienist will carry it out during the consultation. Common treatments include cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
